I have always had a strong aptitude for math and have attempted to find trends and relations in a wide range of things.  I am also an avid sports fan.  While I was in my teens, I saw the Sagarin college sports rankings and challenged myself to improve on his system.  After many iterations, I developed a system for both college football and basketball.  I also enjoy playing golf and watch as many golf tournaments as I can.  I have had frustration with the current ranking systems used and set out to develop a better system.  I fell confident my system improves on the current systems and also used the historical results to identify the best golfers of all-time and for each decade.  The output of that effort is the focus of the book.
