Tom Crowley was born in the American mid west town of Milwaukee and graduated from Marquette University and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He served as an infantry officer in the Vietnam War where he was wounded, and decorated for his service being awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals.
After years of working as a US Foreign Service officer and then in the intelligence field, he moved to the business world, working in various Asian countries. He ended up in Bangkok as a volunteer working for the Mercy Centre, an NGO that helps street children and orphans. In his spare time he shoots pool. Tom travels between residences in Kensington, Maryland and Bangkok.
His military service and government service and on the ground knowledge of Asia provide the source for his action/adventure novels.
Tom is the author of “Bangkok Pool Blues” in 2012, a non-fiction look at the counter culture of the pool world in Bangkok and the denizens who inhabit it. His second book moved into the realm of fiction. The action/adventure work the “Viper’s Tail” was released by Down & Out Books in September of 2013. A follow up “Murder in the Slaughterhouse” was released in August 2014. Shrapnel Wound, his Vietnam memoir, was released in August 2015.
