I was born in Orkney in 1956, the eldest of seven children. I was brought up by a violent and abusive drunken father, who never acknowledged that I was his son. My childhood was lost, and so was my early adulthood. I finally wrote my story, after persuasion from my partner, who has always known about my upbringing.

My biggest achievement is finally ridding myself of my inner demons, after finally completing my story. I never thought I could write a page about my life, but managed to write 420 pages, and 32 chapters.
