I have always loved military literature in the literary style of 'All Quiet on the Western Front.' However, I feel that no literature has come out of the modern conflicts in the Middle East with the same scope or appeal of that classic. What first began as a series of simple journal entries later evolved into Baghdad at Night, my first-person infantry narrative that aims to take the reader on an intimate, emotionally charged and factual journey into the heart of Baghdad. I served with the 82nd Airborne Division for just over four years, and was honorably discharged after returning home from Iraq in mid 2008. Writing this work has been a cathartic adventure for me, and I'd love to bring more readers along for the ride.
