I started writing seriously after my mother told me to write down the amazing bedtime stories I told my nieces and nephews. Eighteen years have passed and I continue to write and tell stories to many young children. I am an avid reader and am inspired by many authors, though I tend to favour females such as Enid Blyton, Agatha Christie, Colleen McCullough, Judy Nunn, Jane Harper and the most prolific influencer for me the incredible J K Rowling
