I started as a poet in Vancouver, B.C., Canada when I threw myself on the ground when walking the seawall and poured out many poems about the giant trees, sea, birds and the people who shared the scenery with me.

I started working in libraries at age 16 and continued for ten years. All my life has been about reading everything I could get my hands on. During my teen years, aside from Shakespeare, my best friends were famous poets like William Wordsworth, Byron, Dickinson, etc.
Life experiences such as mountain climbing in Outward Bound have inspired my writing.
