A homonymless man writes shows what it's like to look up the laid he skirts when you’re lying prone(d) to the sidewalk, beer / joint / needle dangling from your hand /lips / arm.
In a post-coup America, an Illinois farm boy is drawn into the resistance by his brother's death. Captured, he is given a choice: betray his friends, or the girl he loves will be lobotomized.
"What if we did the things we want to do, but have too much good sense to do?"
Background
Information
After earning a degree in journalism, I spent decades running a video production company into the ground, adopted a baby girl from China, got married, moved to the suburbs, adopted a baby boy from Vietnam, started writing this novel, realized I didn't know what I was doing, spent nine summers taking classes at the Iowa Summer Writing Festival (and rewrote the novel every fall), and finally published it. My next project will be to learn to write shorter sentences.
