Information
A lifelong fan of science fiction and fantasy, Deborah started writing her first novel aged eight, and has never stopped. She is a compulsive storyteller with a fascination for complex, psychologically damaged characters whose quirks and idiosyncrasies drive her plots.
Frank Herbert's 'Dune' was her first major SF influence, followed by Asimov's Foundation trilogy which endowed her with a love for multi-layered plotting.
Her first foray into fantasy reading, Le guin's 'A Wizard of Earthsea' opened her eyes to the possibilities of magic wrapped around character development, and then she read Lord of the Rings.
The rest is history.
Accomplishments
Deborah's first published novel, 'The Prince's Man', won a UK Arts Council award, and was an Amazon Hot 100 New Release.
