A versatile writer with strong background in the Arts, Science and Business which he effectively combines to create literary excellence.

Background Information

Growing up, I was always able to express myself most through the written word. I’m fortunate that I was able to translate this ability into a blossoming career as a professional writer. I always strive to learn and develop my literary style and voice, approaching every challenge I come across as an experience to grow and develop as a writer. That’s why, in addition to working on projects similar to those I have already completed, I also seek out new types of endeavours I have yet to encounter. Emmanuel Ansah-Antwi is one of the Presidential Candidates who contested and placed fifth in a pool of eight aspirants in the 2008 Ghana Presidential elections. He is a Writer, Lecturer, Filmmaker, International Business Strategist and Marketing Communications Consultant. A Friedrich Erbert Stiftung scholar at the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) in Accra between 1990 and 1993, where he was adjudged and honoured as the Best Documentary Film Director at the School’s annual “Aniwa” Film Festival held in Accra in 1993. He was a staunch student activist and National Film and Television Institute’s representative at the National Union of Ghana Students’ (NUGS) congress between 1992 and 1993. Ansah-Antwi did his internship at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation in 1992 and second National Service at the Environmental Protection Agency in 1994. In 1998 he went to European University in Montreaux, Switzerland to pursue an MBA degree but left the course halfway through to England, where he enrolled and earned a Master of Arts degree in International Business from the University of North London (now London Metropolitan University) in 2000. He was the first Alumni President of the Ghana branch of London Metropolitan University between 2003 and 2004. He enrolled in advanced research training course leading to the award of PhD on the “impact of new media on the development of Integrated Marketing Communications” at De Montfort University, Leicester in the United Kingdom in 2005 under the tutelage of Prof. Dave Pickton. He left the course after a year. He first worked as a writer-director at Tropical Vision Storm Limited before joining Ghana Advertising and Marketing Limited as a copywriter and rose to the position of Managing Director in 2001. He had a brief stint as the Marketing Manager for TV Africa Limited in 2007. As a Film maker and marketing communications consultant, he had undertaken a number of Consultancies for World Bank, Government of Ghana, Federal Express, Accra Brewery Limited, Unilever, PZ limited, Suvinil Paints, Sethi Brothers, Steelco Limited, Water Health Care Limited and other individuals. Emmanuel was part of the team that worked on World Bank/ Tropical VisionStorm Limited documentary film on “Agriculture, Productivity, and Poverty Nexus” in 1995; Government of Ghana’s marketing communications on the Introduction of the first Value Added Tax (VAT) in 1995; and other consultancy work on the introduction of many campaigns for varied clients and individuals, which span a period from1994 to date.
