Jim (Thunder Lizard) LeMay spent his working life gathering information for his stories. His vocations and avocations include waiter, copywriter, editor, graphic artist, homebrewer, bartender, tavern owner, land surveyor, civil engineer, land developer and others best forgotten. A few years ago he felt he was finally ready to create characters and the worlds they live in. He has lived many places but now calls Colorado home. He became concerned about antibiotic resistant bacterial infections in the 1990s and wrote his first fictional account of a pandemic in 2004. He carefully researches the science on which his novels rely.     

Growing up, Jim LeMay never quite decided what he wanted to do for a living. He attended several colleges from the University of Missouri to the Kansas City Art Institute with a few in between, studying writing, engineering and fine and illustrative art. He has finally ended up as a writer of science fiction with a few tales of fantasy sprinkiled amongst them.
