You can order at www.donrearden.com   Stay up to date on all the latest on: www.donrearden.com   SHORT BIO: I had the great fortune of growing up on the tundra of Southwestern Alaska.  My experiences with the Yup'ik Eskimo culture have shaped both my writing and to a larger extent who I am.  While I enjoy writing in a variety of modes and genres, my heart often draws my writing back to characters and stories that orginate on the tundra and with the rich culture and life found in this often mystical and mysterious land. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, never limiting myself to one single mode.   (I’ve often also jokingly called myself a tundra philosopher, which really only means that I know nothing, except the tundra life will change how you think about yourself and the world.)  I’m an Associate Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage where I teach young writers how to develop their creative voices.   Much of my writing and thought is influenced by my learning experiences on the tundra, as well as from the teachings and writings of my mentor and dear friend, Daniel Quinn, author of Ishmael and The Story of B.
