The true story of Cheryl Pierson Cuccio who made headlines in 1986 and her husband Rob Cuccio. Cheryl was abused sexually and physically and Rob died for 43 minutes on Cheryl's 43rd birthday.
My poetry and short fiction has appeared in several publications including Writing Edge Magazine and Coffee Break Poetry. In addition, my non-fiction memoir Grey Girl was published in 2007 by Publish America and was subsequently nominated for the 2008 Allbooks Review Editor’s Choice Award.
I currently reside in Huntsville Al, and write young adult/paranormal books.

Information
My first book, Grey Girl: A Memoir of Blackness, is about my experience with other African Americans and the pressure put on me to be "blacker." Its a non-fiction memoir that basically states being born black is enough to make you black. I was motivated to write this piece because I feel its wrong to tell young black kids how they should act, what they should do, etc-because its what they must do to be "black"
