My life experiences as a parent, single parent have contributed to my attempts at writing.  I am a coal miner's daughter, and have always dreamed of being a writer, but never tried hard enough. Mostly, I write stories and poems for family members.  Other members of my family write, and I'm sure they too wish to be published. Poems come to me suddenly, and I have to hurry and write them down before I forget. I have written children's stories for my children  and grand children which I intend to post on Author's Den when I have time.    

My biggest achievement in life is that I have managed to raise 6 children who are doing well.
