C.P. Murphy was born in Catskill, New York, and raised in the nearby town of Athens. After moving to Naples, Florida, where she lived with her parents throughout her teen years, she started to think of writing as more than just an expression. Never realizing that she could make a career with a pen, she scribbled bits and pieces here and there. C.P. Murphy moved to western New York in the early 90s and is when she had her first poem published in a national anthology. Much of her inspiration came from her father who had told her countless stories about his upbringing in the 1930s. When he suddenly passed away in 2000, she realized that writting didn't have to be a dream. Her first book, Everlasting Love, was published in 2004. Though the author found herself in a publishing author mill, it had taught C.P. Murphy a lot about the world of books and publishing. She currently lives with her adoring husband and three beautiful daughters in West Seneca, New York. Besides writting, she enjoys scrapbooking, bird watching, sudoko puzzles, and is a tremendous 80s fan.
