Tyeese Gaines Reid, author of "The Get A Life Campaign," is a one-woman juggling act: writer, mom, wife, and physician.

Background Information

After giving my life to graduate school then medical school, my husband, my son, other family members, volunteer activities and friends, I looked up and saw the life I strived for on paper, but yet still felt like something was missing. I realized I had lost myself somewhere along the way. I was in the infamous rut, when I should have been ecstatic. I had lost much of what used to make me. I confided in a few friends around the country, who all admitted they felt the same way. We decided to band together and get our lives back at all cost... even starting a blog and keeping each other on track to make sure we were doing things just for ourselves. Out of these efforts came the book I recently published, "The Get A Life Campaign," a pocket guide for busy women who want it all (on sale now). More info can be found at http://www.getalifecampaign.com. Since writing the book, almost every woman I speak to tells me they feel the same way, regardless of ethnicity, socioeconomic status, number of children or location. It's amazing to see how universal this feeling is.

Accomplishments

Tyeese is a physician, preparing to begin emergency medicine training this June.
