Born as a highly sensitive and emotional child, life in a disciplined German family was not always easy for me. I often worked through traumatic situations in my dreams and even as a young child had a vivid spiritual life. My best escape was vacations to the Dutch seashore where Grandma was once raised. The soothing rhythm of the sea, sandy beaches, windmills, dikes and grazing sheep calmed my soul. No wonder then that Southern California eventually became my home of choice. Much better weather over here! After getting traditional degrees and a job in the corporate world, I began to explore my real interests studying with various known healers and learning all about the biofield, energy healing, Reiki, hypnotherapy and other integrative approaches to health and healing. I read much in search for wisdom and answers to life's mysteries, attended different churches and religious communities and loved the inner peace that came through meditation. The simplicity and complexity of Tibetan Buddhism drew me the most. Still very much in touch with my dreamworld, I began to write down interesting dreams. One in particular caught my attention, and I pondered it for several years before it became the basis of my novel Sacred Wisdom. I discovered my passion for writing. More books to come.
