Born as a highly sensitive and emotional child, life in a disciplined German family was not always easy for me. I often worked through traumatic situations in my dreams and even as a young child had a vivid spiritual life. My best escape was vacations to the Dutch seashore where Grandma was once raised. The soothing rhythm of the sea, sandy beaches, windmills, dikes and grazing sheep calmed my soul. No wonder then that Southern California eventually became my home of choice. Much better weather over here!
