Brenda Hahn Greene holds a MS in Communications and two BS degrees in English/Journalism and Education. She has 30 years teaching experience on high school and college levels. She also has worked part-time with her husband at their furniture store but writes as much as she can. She is also an active speaker for Grief Support groups, community organizations, and schools.

Her major influences have been family and the beauty of the outdoors. She has learned that character and courage are not built by the tragedies and challenges within our lives but rather how we deal with them. After the loss of a child, life doesn't get better, only different.

She received the Crystal Apple Award in 2000 for her dedication in education and her years of teaching high school speech, journalism, and English. She has been successful in developing community youth groups where she has lived which spans from Colorado, North Carolina, and Indiana. According to Brenda, her major achievement - other than her three beautiful children - is the fact that she was self-supportive until she shared her wealth from teaching when she married at the age of 28.
Additional Information
She has had several articles published in local publications;however, her first book was published in 2001, From My Son's Garden. It was a bittersweet success because it is about dealing with grief after the death of her 16-year-old son.
Her second book, Dog Gone: Boomer's Story (2005), is fiction and geared to the young teen reader. It has been adopted by four Indiana schools and one school in Florida.
