When I was a young man I had the honor of working at the local daycare. I went there originally to build a recycle bin. There was some children watching me work and they seemed very interested in what I was doing. I asked them if they wanted to help and they all jumped at the chance. The owner of the daycare must have been impressed because I was asked to return to do some other projects with the children. It was not long when I was asked to work there full time. It was the best job I have ever had. I can also say with some modesty I was very good at it as well. I realized I had a talent for interacting with children. It was a skill that developed slowly but unbeknownst to me it seemed very natural to entertain children on their level. I realized very quickly that children seemed to have a very special  sense of humor and could be harnessed as a very powerful tool when teaching children. I was reluctant at first and very uncomfortable about singing songs ,dancing and pretending to be a enormous snowflake during circle time when other people were watching me. In time however I was having so much fun playing with the children that I forgot about my own nervousness and had a wonderful time. As I got older and started my own family I realized that even though I loved my job and was good at it, the income would not be enough to raise my family the way I wanted to. So I started working in factories. The jobs were good and the income was better but I always missed the creativity and interaction I had with the children while working as a Early Childhood Educator.   Then one day I was telling my own daughter a story I had made up while I was a child care giver and she was very impressed. She told me I should make it into a book. So after some time I sat down and started to commit some of my story ideas to paper. It was not long before I was hooked and while I was working at the factory I would write down ideas that I had and rushed home to work on them. After I wrote the first book I asked my daughter to name the book and she came up with the name "The Adventures Of Tuesday's Underwear" The name stuck and I have been doing it ever since. I enjoy going to daycares and schools and reading the stories to children. Watching them enjoy the book is a wonderful feeling and very rewarding.
