As a human growth educator, and business woman,Bobbi Sims has operated the Effectiveness Training Center in Corpus Christi, Texas for twenty-five years. Her major influence was her grandpa, a sandy land peanut farmer in central Texas,who taught her to always get the roots or the weeds would be right back and she would soon be back chopping weeds again. She has applied this principle to her speaking and writing practice and gets to the roots of recurring problems and to their solutions.

My current work is a novel entitled, Judas's Mother -- A Story for Every Mother Who Feels Responsible for the Choices of her Children.A transformative story that offers hope and freedom to every mother who bears guilt and shame for the actions of her children. Mothers are known for taking too much or too little responsibility for the choices of their children. In Judas’s Mother, Bobbi Sims addresses this challenge through Mary Iscariot, the mother of Judas. She shares Mary’s story of moving from a position of prestige, to guilt and shame, and finally to redemption and a return to public life as a wise guide for others, including mothers of our own time. This book explores a mother’s profound and unwarranted sense of guilt and responsibility for the actions of her son. Her grief at the loss of both Judas and Jesus causes her to withdraw from her former comfortable world of family and friends. Mary feels responsible for Judas’ tragic role in the betrayal of Jesus and also for Judas’ subsequent suicide. It is Mary who assumes the burden for the decisions of her son.
