Of Cape Verdean descent, I was born in Boston, MA in 1958. I grew up the only girl amongst four brothers. I graduated from Boston Technical High School in 1976 with an outstanding achievement award in English. Though I never graduated from college, I did take numerous classes that would help me in life which consisted of accounting, english and creative writing. Michael Jackson was a major influence in my life at a young age. In spite of what the media details of him today and the changes he has made with his outer body, I am thankful that there was a Michael Jackson.  He saved my life and kept me writing for numerous years. When my dreams of meeting him became a reality, he told me my writing made him want to meet me because it was as if I was standing there talking to him. Writing to me has always been a way to escape, a way to protect myself. It was a way of escaping the problems of real life and going into a dream world. A dream world which has now become my real life! Today, I am motivated by my children, my nieces and my grandkids and simply that zest for life!      

Currently I own and operate a small software training and accounting services company. Currently we have embarked on publishing services.

I have recently entered my works in the following contests: Arizona Author Awards, Reader Views Book Awards and IPPY (Independent Publisher Book Awards). I anticipate winning!
