Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.

A man who suffered a tragic ordeal and turned tragedy into triumph with a philosophy that can empower anyone to reach a level of higher being!

Background Information

I was literally dead from an automobile accident in 1979, as a 17 year old adolescent.  The paramedics were able to get my heart started, but I went into a complete coma which lasted 6 months.  After coming out of this coma, I was confronted with the loss of use in my left arm and leg, and damaged eyesight.  As with any type of debilitating injury, it was also accompanied by the demons of depression, fear, inferiority, and the lack of self-esteem.  Combined with the uncertainties of adoilescence, let me through a serious bout of clinical depression, self-pity, and self-loathing.  Through years of soul searching and reading of the Enlightenment philosophers, such as David Hume, John Locke, and  the works of Confucious, I developed a philosophy of endurance and positive attitude,by learning to disregard my losses and embrace my gains.  I began writing inspiring poetry, which completely changed my life, and started doing motivational speaking for support groups.  Drawing on my personal experience, I can teach others to  overcome their feelings of inadequacy and teach them how to love themselves and respect their differences.  I have, and teach others how to develop, a positive attitude, combined with a self determination that is virtually unstoppable.  The purpose of my book "INSPIRATION OF TIME" is to help people overcome any suffering they may be living with by giving them a poem which will help them see their lives from a different point of view.  The reason I chose to write in poetic verse is to give a person a sentiment in rhyme that will be easy to remember and adopt as a personal life changing philosophy.
