Wendy studied psychology and English (Gothic literature specialisation) and graduated with honours. Most recently, she studied philosophy, Japanese, and German at Oregon State University. She is a pianist/multi-instrumentalist and trained as a prior music performance student and was an accompanist, performer, and Musical Merit Foundation competitor in San Diego. Wendy is a published author and artist featured in Supernatural Faerie Tales, Southern Gothic, and various non-fiction publications. Her writing has also been featured in Gothic and Dark Romanticism podcasts, served as collaborative inspiration for postmodern music, and a film treatment.
