JUDIE STEIN has worked in all facets of the communication world, beginning as an actress/writer/producer at the age of five when she created shows for her kindergarten friends – and charged admission.  Her book, Earth Angel, a fast-moving mystery novel has just been released on Amazon and Barnes&Nobel.com as well as other on-line book sites.  In addition to several screen plays, magazine articles and the occasional ghost writing assignment, Judie has been Vice President of Creative Affairs for SOUTHBROOK ENTERTAINMENT,  a publicly traded US/UK production and distribution t.v. and film company as well as a partner in MC DERMOTT ENTERTAINMENT, an independent t.v. and film production company.  Before her position as an executive in television and film Judie was a feature writer for the LOS ANGELES TIMES where she helped to create the LA TIMES weekly fashion magazine.  She was fashion editor for PLAYGIRL MAGAZINE, a founding fashion editor of BEVERLY HILLS WORLD magazine and the Canadian magazine, GOODLIFE, as well as a contributing writer and photographer for publications such as FRENCH VOGUE and US magazine.  She produced some of the first cable magazine shows and wrote the play, TWENTY FIVE YEARS AFTER about Vietnam.  She had a weekly column in the LA TIMES fashion section: CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC.  After earning her BFA from BOSTON UNIVERSITY in Theater Arts she appeared on and off Broadway as well as in feature films.  In television she appeared in series that included; THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY, SHAFT and MARY TYLER MOORE as well as movies and features including UP THE DOWN STAIRCASE and GOODBY COLUMBUS.  As a child she studied piano with the Russian composer ALEXANDER TCHEREPHIN and his wife, concert pianist, SUM MING TCHEREPNIN.  She had been a guest soloist with the CHICAGO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA’S YOUNG ARTISTS SERIES.  Judie lives on a small ranch in with her husband, a surgeon, and their four horses and four dogs -  one of them a 26 year old alien parading as a dog
