Born in Stratford, Oklahoma in 1949 and joined USMC at age of 17, 4 days after graduating highschool in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Served San Diego CA before going to South Vietnam from 1968 through 1970. going to South Vietnam was my first experience at traveling and living outside US, in Vietnam, Guam, Japan and Australia. I Attended Tulsa Junior College, Oklahoma University and Emporia State university. earning my degree in 1981. I Worked in construction until mid 1970's then in Geology and Geophysics field from 1975 until 1985. Moved to Massachusettes and returned to construction field. Five years later, moved to California living and working there for the next twenty years. moved to Virginia in 2008 working as inspector for USA Corps of Engineers. then while still working for Corps of Engineers deployed to Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010. moved to West Virginia in 2013. still working for the USA Corps of Engineers living there with my wife Mary and our four fur babies in Martinsburg, WVA since 2013. I Spent 25 years as adult member of the Boy Scouts of America from 1970's until 2009. i Have collected fossils since age of ten (which was my original interest in geology)and have many from all over the world and all ages of geologic time. I Was also an avid coin collector for many years, collecting U.S.A., foreign and ancient coins back to celtic times. I was extremely involved in ancestry research between the 1970's up until approximately 2014 and managed five seperate family trees on Ancestry.com. I Have traveled extensively in Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, North America, Australia, the Carribean and Pacific over the last 40 plus years. I Wrote my first poems in late 1970's and early 1980's. Ocassionally wrote short stories and more poetry after that but made no attempts at publishing any of them. Shared only with friends or partners until first poem was published in late 1990's. I wrote my first book "Dusty" while deployed in Afghanistan in 2009 which was published in 2011. i am still writing, sometimes with gaps in posting and/or publishing in "The Path" depending on my workload mainly.
