I've been a freelance writer for 25 years, running my own company and (until I had kids) playing bass in bands. I'm a history buff and and particularly interested in military history, especially WW2 and the Napoleonic period. Three of my favourite authors are CS Forester, Partrick O' Brian and Bernard Cornwell, so walking in their footsteps seemed like the logical road for me . I've spent most of my professional career working as writer in corporates and government. I started out doing IT technical writing, policies & procedures and the like, then moved into marketing. I built my first website in 1994 and nowadays I work on all manner of stuff including large-scale correspondence projects, insurance policies, magazine articles, speeches, video and IVR scripts... I've been fortunate enough to have travelled around most of Western Europe and some of Central Europe several times, and visited eastern USA, Guam, Vietnam, Japan and New Zealand.
