I was raised the middle of five daughters in south east Michigan and have lived in Michigan all my life. As the middle child I learned to go with the flow to be able to play with either my older or younger sisters and thus gained a tendency to consider multiple viewpoints when assessing a situation. This has strongly influenced my writing in that I think there is rarely ever one correct 'right' or 'wrong' answer to any given situation and I try to convey that complexity in the situations my characters face. My parents instilled a love of reading in me from a young age and my delight in mythology and fairy tales has led to a strong preference for fantasy, science fiction, and wierd horror stories. In addition to the immersive worlds found in books, I enjoy losing myself in videogames, pen and paper rpgs, and table top rpgs. This enjoyment in stepping outside the bounds of reality is carried over into my writing in the settings and adversaries my characters deal with. In particular, my current books are strongly influenced by the work of H.P. Lovecraft.
