I was born into a Midwest scoutng family enriched by faith and educated mostly in the Midwest. Never kicked by a horse nor a mule, my worldview and experiences have provided good adventures, discoveries and joy in my life. A pursuit of doctoral studies with The Union Institute University, Cincinnati, OH, intersected with receiving approvals from Moscow's Russian Ministry of Education and the KGB to present business seminars in the city for holding thier political prisoners, Nizhny Novgorod. This 1990 - 1992 program ran when Gorbachov was President. Recorded observations in trip reports about in-country business, societal observations and well as spiritual and cross- cultiral observations were used to write my doctoral dissertation for my Ph.D. I started oil painting on college breaks for a hobby. My B.S in Metallurgial Engineering from Missouri School of Mines & Metallury plus a later MBA degree from the U of New Haven, CT led to executive management positions with Fortune 500 firms. Eventually I created Ziebell Associates, Inc. as a manufacturing consultancy. It did well for five years then the US enconomy stalled. I then held executive management positions consecutively in three Christiam mission non-profit organizations until I retired. It has been from 1958 that the person Jesus Christ has been an important person in all of my life achievements.

2005 - Winston-Salem's National Juried Exhibition used Marc Pachter, Director, National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institute as their Juror. He awarded 3rd Place to my 24" x 40" oil painting titled "Pencil L. Hunter with his Missing Hat."
2006 - Galesburg(IL)Civic Art Center awarded me with their Purchased Award and own my oil painting, "A Blue Ball in Kabul" as part of their permanent art collection.
