Information
A newspaper journalist for most of my adult working life, I burned with a desire to transfer my writing skills from the news desk to my home office that I set up to write fantasy and historical fiction novels. Now retired, I spend my mornings honing my creative writing craft as I work on my current WIP.

Accomplishments
I've won numerous awards through the years for my newspaper stories. Second place in feature writing for weekly newspapers in the 2013 North Carolina AP Awards Competition, first place awards in enterprise reporting and feature writing for small newspaper dailies in the 1983 Florida Society of Newspaper Editors Awards Competition.
