I started writing poetry and prose when I was in elementary school and just fell in love with the freedom it allowed me to have. I took part in all types of arts, but writing was always my first love. My mother was a major influence in my life because she was the one who always gave me a pen and a notebook and encouraged me to express myself the best way I could. Writing was an outlet for me growing up because I always felt like I was a loner, so I would escape from the lonliness by writing. As I got older, my writing skills, as well as my love for writing, became stronger. I would write books of poetry and songs just to write them, but now is the time for me to share the gifting that God has given me with others. I am blessed and fortunate to be able to share what I love with others and I pray that those who read what I have written will be blessed.
