Born in a small town in southern Illinois in 1940 in an area which offered little in career opportunities, I quickly ventured north to the big cities. Here I was able to work for a global manufacturer that allowed me to travel to many exotic places in the world, including Malaysia, Indonesia, and The People's Republic of China. I lived in Hong Kong for four years and enjoyed every moment there. I have always loved to read, envying those prolific authors who could paint wonderful pictures with words. After I retired in 1998, I wrote my first novel, Pine cones and Blood. It was published in June, 2007. I have completed my second novel which has not been published...yet.
