L.D.Ridgley has started a unique publishing company using a new concept... Reverse Royalty. This means the author earns the profit from their books while the publisher only a small royalty.
Oak Ridge Publishing
REVERSE ROYALTY a new concept!
If you, the author, are fortunate to have a conventional publisher doing your book, (a rarity, indeed) you may be in for a shock when payday comes! Here’s how a conventional publisher works. As an example, we shall use a book selling for $20 retail. First, the book is discounted to the booksellers (Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com etc.) at 55%. That leaves $9. The print cost average for a two hundred page book is around $4. That leaves $5. The publisher pays a new author on average a royalty of 8% of the discounted price. 8% of $9 is 72 cents. That’s right… you, the author, make 72cents per book! The rest goes to the publisher. Since most of them own their own print company, the publisher makes the difference between $9 and 72 cents or $8.28 per book. Off of YOUR book! The one YOU wrote!
Here’s a better way. Oak Ridge Publishing will publish your manuscript with professional quality, (there is a one-time-only set up fee), list it with US distribution partners such as Ingram, Baker and Taylor, etc. Listing will appear on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and other internet sites. Your book will also be listed in a catalog provided to international distribution partners such as Bertrams, Gardners, etc. All packaging and shipping is done by the distributor to book sellers and wholesalers as ordered. And the great news…Oak Ridge Publishing will collect a royalty of $1 per book. What that means is, using the example above, a 300 page book costing $4 to print and discounted to Barnes and Noble for $9 leaves $5, of which Oak Ridge Publishing will get $1 and you the author will get $4 profit per book. That is a 400% plus increase! Want to know more? Contact L.D.Ridgley directly atClick here or call 352-259-7450.
