Aubrey Hammack has an M.Ed  and  25  plus years as a mental health professional.  This work has involved  individual, family, group, crisis managment, and child and adolescent counseling. Also  has worked in crisis management in the ER of a local hospital for several years.  His work has involved court systems performing mental status and psychological evaluations, behavior management plans and as a Psychological Consultant. Aubrey has also written a couple of articles for Georgia Backroads Magazine, which were published in 2009 and 2011.  The first was on the Auchumpkee Creek Covered Bridge near Thomaston, Georgia and the second was on the Old Mill Village in Thomaston, Georgia where he and his family lived in the 40s and 50s. Aubrey appeared on December 13, 2005 as a  guest on John Chacon's radio program called the DAD Show on Kazi 88.7 FM in Austin, Texas.  This program was streamed on the WEB.  Aubrey participated in a live discussion on Holiday Blues.  It has been added to their archives with many other outstanding shows and can be viewed and listened to by going to Kazi 88.7 and the DAD Show and clicking on the Holiday Blues Program. On 9-27-06 Aubrey was interviewed by Rhiannon Waits on her show broadcast from Seattle, Washington called Lets Talk About You. Aubrey shared some of his thoughts on Holiday Blues, Grief, and Infidelity.  An article that Aubrey wrote on Rebuilding the Auchumpkee Creek Bridge was published in the Spring 2009 issue of Georgia Backroads Magazine  Aubrey has also worked at various radio stations in the central Georgia area such as  WNEX, WBML, WPGA, WDEN, and WFNE. He worked at most of these stations while completing college.  At WNEX he was involved in doing play by play high school football and basketball games. Aubrey Hammack defines eleven lessons learned in his new book about legendary Coach Billy Henderson, who coached high school football and baseball from 1958 to 1995, at Willingham High School and then Mount de Sales Academy in Macon, and later at Clarke Central High School in Athens.

Author Aubrey Hammack grew up in Macon, GA, attending high school under the tutelage of Coach Billy Henderson, at the former Willingham High School. Now, he taps into lessons that he and others learned from Coach Henderson through his many years of teaching and coaching. The book is entitled, The Winning Edge: Lessons from Billy Henderson, and is written to emphasize the importance of a number of core values in coaching and playing sports, including such things as preparation, teamwork, motivation, and perseverance.
