I have been a huge fan of fantasy adventure since the early 1980's.  I read mythology as a kid, J.R.R. Tolkien and R.A. Salvatore as a teen, and numerous other authors like Richard A. Knaak and Troy Denning since. I started writing to cope with stress in the Army.  I published my first book (1 APR 2009) after returning from Afghanistan.  I found that as I suffered anger, fear, and frustration in combat my characters reflected my emotions.  It is a strong parallel with my experiences in combat that I have found most interesting. I have a BA in Psychology and a MA in Counseling so I have the background in both motivation and coping strategies but I never realized how useful writing can be.  it is both therapeutic and fulfilling.  I really wanted to share this revelation with other writers and of course those who read my work.  I have linked my website to the book below but I am most interested in BLOGGING about it with others.  I have no secrets to my success.  I am willing to share what I learned and I hope to pass on some good information to each person I blog with.
