Information
Elizabeth Spencer Spragins is a poet, writer, and editor who taught in North Carolina community colleges for more than a decade before returning to her home state of Virginia.
Her collections of original poetry include "Waltzing With Water: Tempos in Verse" and "With No Bridle for the Breeze: Ungrounded Verse" (Shanti Arts Publishing) and "The Language of Bones: American Journeys Through Bardic Verse" (Kelsay Books).
The author writes in a variety of traditional poetic forms that celebrate the beauty and mystery of landscapes. Her tanka and bardic verse in the Celtic style have been published in England, Scotland, Canada, India, Indonesia, Mauritius, Singapore, Turkey, and the United States.
An avid swimmer and an enthusiastic fiber artist, she currently lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
