Joseph Bernard “J. B.” Rivard, is known for the breadth of his creative output. He’s written songs as well as orchestral works, produced and exhibited award-winning paintings and etchings, worked as a reporter and journalist, published cartoons and illustrations, written novels and short stories, and retired as a research engineer from a U.S. National Laboratory where he authored or co-authored more than 40 technical papers listed on Google Scholar. As a novelist, he's motivated by a desire to write exciting, emotionally-stirring stories that communicate the essence of the human spirit. The tautness of his writing style owes much to Elmore Leonard and Dennis Lehane.
