I've always been a reader.  I grew up reading Kipling and the westerns of Louie L'amour.  I like the old westerns.  Stories you might tell around a campfire.  I have no desire to inject so much realism into my stories that they read more like a documentary than a good tale.  If I can't tell a good story in a hundred pages or so then I don't want to tell it.  But that's just me.  ---   Writing is fun for me.  I can't spell and my grammer is faulty at best but I am convinced that by the time I get it all right the fun will have gone away.  So if the spell check doesn't catch it chances are its wrong.   But I'm too damn old to worry about it.  If I ever write a best seller you can bet I'll have had one hell of an editor.     Happy trails...
