You know it's funny, when looking down the well-known list of literary genres, such as the category list on this website, I'm struck by the egregious absence of satire. I see there is fantasy, humor, horror, science fiction, spirituality; it's quite a list -- but no satire. When was satire sidelined from of the family of writing classifications in the publishing industry? Look at any agents or publishers literary categories. Satire is nowhere to be found.
