I was born in a small town in southwestern Arkansas in 1931. My parents were honest, hard-working Christians. I did not fully appreciate their godly examples until they had gone to their reward in heaven. To the best of my knowledge, they never accepted one cent of unemployment or other government assistance. They lived what they taught my sister and me: "If you can't say something good about a person, don't say anything!" (Titus 3:2)
