I have read poetry seriously for 40 years. I studied Modernism in Graduate School at Kent State. I have been writing and publishing for eight years.

My biggest influences are Modernism and Surrealism. I have too many favorite writers to list, but they include Jim Harrison, Wendell Berry and Gary Snyder.

Trying to make sense of Vietnam, academia, aging and love motivate my writing. I meditate regularly and experience writing as a continuation of meditation.
