First and foremost I have to acknowledge the extraordinary poets of the Harlem Renaisance, for their work has most influenced me. It is on the shoulders of these Harlem giants that I stand. As a Harlem poet of the new renaissance I hope to live up to the remarkable standard that they have put forth.
