Poem Artwork

Tell me not when death is near
Blind me not with tales of fear
Lest I forget days of golden hue
And nights of starry midnight blue

Lest I forget melodic tunes
And sun and sea and crescent moons
And vistas of lovely fragrant flowers
And love's mystical entrancing power

Let me savor memories of golden days
'Til death takes my breath away
Let me dream of things I love to do
Let me die embracing heaven's view

Excellent poetry. Unfortunately we have no shield to protect ourselves from death though we can somehow deal with the causes of death. I don't really know which way is good: To know or not to know the time you are about to die. Wonderful poem.

Love the depth of wisdom and strength of spirit in LEST I FORGET. Reminds one that life, under whatever conditions, is meant to be lived until it no longer is, period. But while it is, one would do well to continue to seek and treasure whatever good it has to offer. A great and enjoyable read.
