While it may mean completely starting over, everyone is capable of digging deep and rising to the occasion. No religion can teach the inner faith in oneself that is required to rise above circumstances and take hold of one's life.
One thing is for certain. Sitting around and moping, blaming or even praying for something to happen, will make it happen. Each of us has to do it ourselves and get all the help we can get along the way by creating good relationships with others.
This one reminds me of a poem that I have written a long time ago when I first began writing poetry. The poem was called "You Came", and it was about God coming to my rescue when me and my soul were in dark places.
