We all have those times of our lives that we dig deep with awareness, acknowledge the discomfort, persist with faith toward what frees us.

Poem Artwork

Everything upside down
Hanging on a thread

Nothing to hold on but my faith

All familiar are faint memories
All unknown are now familiar

Up and down of waves of change
Coming to surface what was hidden

Deep fears
Self-sabotaging beliefs
From distant times and places

Forced to notice what is real
And what is transitory
No time to wallow the past
No energy to control the future
It only delays my inevitable destiny
Rise up rays of faith and strength within
Shine your light and warmth
In the dark night of soul

Destroy molds of doubt and fear
Bring me everlasting truth and love

Change is often difficult, you capture it well and give us hope in the changes our lives go through.

While it may mean completely starting over, everyone is capable of digging deep and rising to the occasion. No religion can teach the inner faith in oneself that is required to rise above circumstances and take hold of one's life.

One thing is for certain. Sitting around and moping, blaming or even praying for something to happen, will make it happen. Each of us has to do it ourselves and get all the help we can get along the way by creating good relationships with others.

A very nice poem of faith.

This one reminds me of a poem that I have written a long time ago when I first began writing poetry. The poem was called "You Came", and it was about God coming to my rescue when me and my soul were in dark places.
