Thank you, God, for the gifts you bring,
I am lifted up, can you see my heart sing...?
And thank you too, for the prayers you have heard -
You have blessed me Lord, with the gift of your Word.
You have answered my prayers, every one I have said,
You have brought me to hope in a world I thought dead.
You have lifted me up, given me wings...I can fly -
and I soar ever upward to the light of your sky.
In my heart lies a rhapsody of colour and truth,
You have shown me true beauty, you have blessed me with youth.
You have opened my door to the love and the light...
And my heart will never again know the night.
You have scattered the path before me with peace,
You have brought me to healing; I bathe in your sea
of love and of mercy, forgiveness and Faith,
and all I can do, while here, is just wait.
For I know that your kingdom is so close to hand,
You'll give harmony and justice to all in this land.
For the kingdom of God lies deep in our souls -
and it's up to us to find the true road...
I'll walk with you in all I do, I will spread your Faith
to all who will hear -
And you'll shine on me wherever I go,
You hold my right hand...I am never alone.
