Even my muse cried when
you left, your leaving left her
bereft of inspiration; no more
elation in the heart of her movement.
She tried, oh, how she tried
to beguile you, to amuse and
to rile you into playful
banter, a gesture of love and
of friendship...
You wanted no part of anyone
truly knowing you, you want
love so passionately and desperately,
yet you reject it at every turn.
So much to learn, a heart that has been trampled and cheated;
broken and defeated upon the
journey back home.
Perhaps there will come a day
when you realize you are
not alone, you walk this world
where there are many just like you;
those who are so afraid to live
that they just lay down and die...
I keep wondering, why?
There is peace to be found within
each of us, though it does not
come easy - most times exacting
a price; a promise to be nice,
to live in the light, to understand
wrong and to know what is right.
To share of the soul with others
who have learned how to dream,
And though it seems a silhouette
of shadow and of scorn, look around
and you will find a new day has been
born; one of joy and of life,
of Love and of strife no more
Put your hand on the handle...
and just open your door.
