I saw the most beautiful rainbow today,
not just one, but two...double the luminescence
filled my eyes with such exquisite enchantment;
so breathtaking; this spectral archway
alight in the bluest sky above heaven’s door...
I knew at that moment a promise
was made, that things will get better once more.
The colours, so brilliant and pure,
such a vision seen in heart and of mind.
I drove on in awe, it was so close
I could reach out and touch each and every colour in kind.
And, at the end of the rainbow all things
which had been touched were bathed
in the most beautiful golden hue...
All I could think and feel at that moment
was how blessed I had been to have
such resplendent beauty placed within my view.
Such a special thing to see, the end
of the rainbow was shown to me
at a time in my heart when sorrow seeps in,
this rainbow lit my spirit, inner light no longer dim...
God opened up the rainbow and let my soul walk in.
