There it rests in the reeds
Along a quiet marsh
Darkened wood with rusted sutures
Weather worn and harsh
One lone oar lays aside
A crabtrap tossed and broken
The quiet breaks for a small sloop
Shiney, new and oaken
Between the two the memory
Lies in the older boat
For painted flakes that dot the sides
For the memories still afloat
Very, very beautiful and I can imagine that old boat so much from the images put forth herein...I had one just like it, but another story for another time...Peace, Ed & Rufuz

Love this piece. The older I get the more I feel like that boat. Life sorta has a way of doing that to a person. Outstanding imagery my friend.
