Dedicated to all those devious people who usurp the temple of love with lies.
There is "no trespassing" for your kind.
Somewhere in this soul of discontent
There's a spot left ajar with love's faint lament
This drone if you will of emotions gone cold
With the ring of a bell from this spirit on hold
If wishes were worth it and the answers had truth
Then the crux of the matter would turn black with it's hue
When the posers now silent... unspoken but fed
By gestures in silence given with dread
Is the crux of the matter like quick games of chess
Just words to check passions with lust left a mess
Or the whispers of love that opened the gates
For the victor whose words ring forever checkmate
One has to believe or just lay down to die
For the soul never gives up it's eye to the sky
So to speak but forgive me but never to dread
The words that experience so often have lead
For a bride of love's passion as jealous winds blow
For the words of a suitor whose words never showed
Quite the meaning of love or just what was meant
On this eve of regression and masked discontent.
It dozen't do to dwell Susan on the inadequacies of others...everything is as it is meant to be...as it is....
Inside the temple are the true riches that the moth cannot consume or rust corrupt...
Love
Peter
Super and gripping write from the torn and forlorn heart. Penned with such powerful emotion Susan. I know that your strength will provide. Thanks also for the thoughts of me and my wife...it is so kind of you. Take care and be strong.

Susan, there are so many heart-gripping lines flowing off the pages on this magnificent composition, my friend! This phrase most definitely caught my breath: “One has to believe or just lay down to die. For the soul never gives up its eye to the sky!” Outstanding work! Thanks for sharing your work. Take good care and be well.
Stimulating - rhymed and versed to an exceptional level ... beautiful!!

What has to happen, Susan, is the heart must absolve itself of the pain it has been put through. In doing so, it will diminish the reason for the pain. Not forget. Never forget, but to hold onto the pain at the expense of a full life that is your destiny, is harmful and sad. Find a way to "let it go."
We have been looking in class this week at what it means to write whilst in the grip of strong emotion, and yet to somehow control it so that none of it's tremendous power is lost and communicates itself effectively to the reader. It seems to me that you have done just that so admirably here, Susan. I am sooo sorry for your pain which is surfacing so tangibly, but I do hope and pray that we may be the arms here that hold and uplift you through this "long, dark night of the soul" and carry you, along with the hope you express, and the inner strength that you have within yourself, into a new dawn where there will again be laughter and joy. In the meantime, your poetry is highly polished and sharply-etched, making a sure impact on our hearts and minds. God bless, LOL Kate xx
excellent thought flow, rhyme and rhythm here, Susan. love your line "for the soul never gives up it's eye to the sky"... sorry for the discontent and understand it all too well. this too shall pass? Dawn
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
