This is a poem written by Matthew Arnold (1822- 1888). This verse spoke to a part of me I did not know. When we listen to our hearts they tell us our history in another time. This is Matthew Arnold's poem and also my answer to his verse. His was a plea incomplete from over a century ago and mine was an answer for him. Hopefully he is happy having his answer. Sounds crazy but in my direct sunlight...it's very reasonable wisdom.

Longing

Come to me in my dreams, and then
By day I shall be well again.
For then the night will more than pay
The hopeless longing of the day.

Come, as thou cam'st a thousand times,
A messenger from radiant climes,
And smile on thy new world, and be
As kind to others as to me.

Or, as thou never cam'st in sooth,
Come now, and let me dream it truth.
And part my hair, and kiss my brow,
And say ... My love! why sufferest thou?

I come to thee with open arms
An air of jasmine with my charm
I comfort thee with a warmer heart
To soothe the ails of all that smarts

I come to you so marred and pained
With you and me to enrich again
The spirits that beseech to me
Come..please come ....I'll comfort thee

Hold to my breast these hands, this palm
Kiss the beats that then belong
I'm in between the space from here
But in a moment I will be there

Search for me inside your heart
Know that soulfully I start
The thoughts, secure and resting still
I'll be right there...I will...I WILL.
